Dendrometer
It happens that a dendrometer attached to a tree gets torn off by another tree that has fallen nearby – for example, due to strong winds. This is a natural phenomenon in a dynamic forest environment, but it doesn’t mean the end of measurements!
In such a case, as long as the dendrometer is not damaged, the data from the device is retrieved, and the dendrometer returns to the tree to continue its mission.
