On May 22, ForBioSensing team members took part in this year's celebration of the International Day of Biological Diversity. The organizer of the project was the Białowieża Academy of Biodiversity.

This event, having an educational and workshop character, was held at the Białowieża Palace Station. The educational complex located there, allows you to organize various types of events, exhibitions, cultural events and performances. At the Biodiversity Picnic, among the organized positions: scientific institutions, organizations, societies and associations, the project - ForBioSensing - was also able to present its activities.

Together with the members of the Natural Forest Plant IBL, current issues were presented on the activities of both units: the scope of work carried out on above-ground monitoring sites, methods of data acquisition as part of the project and we answered many questions about the current state of forest stands in the Polish part of the Białowieża Forest.

There were also demonstration elements: tree trunks were demonstrated, thanks to which event participants could get to know different species and take part in a competition to recognize them. The visitors were also shown the tools for measuring tree stands - anyone willing to see what equipment is equipped with a team performing field measurements in the Forest.
